Earlier on Wednesday, during the hearing held in the Karnataka High Court, the counsel for the petitioner made the arguments.
On Wednesday, the lawyer said that different types of religious symbols including a turban, bangle, bindi, and cross are worn in India.
Then why has the government banned only wearing hijab and is discriminating hostilely with it.
Ravi Verma Kumar, counsel for the petitioner girl students, said that it is illegal to prescribe uniforms in Inter Colleges (Pre-University Colleges).

In fact, a 3-judge bench of Chief Justice Rituraj Awasthi, Justice Krishna S Dixit, and Justice JM Khaji is hearing various petitions challenging the ban on hijab in educational institutions of the state.
The hijab controversy is being heard continuously since Monday. On Wednesday, the hearing on the hijab dispute started at 2:30 pm in the High Court.
During this, the counsel for the petitioner made several arguments. Advocate Ravi Verma Kumar said that it is illegal to prescribe uniforms in Inter Colleges (Pre-University Colleges).
He said that the College Development Committee (CDC) headed by the MLA does not have the right to decide on the matter.

Earlier on Tuesday, during the hearing held in the Karnataka High Court, the counsel for the petitioner had given arguments.
The counsel for the petitioner had said that the hijab is not an issue of religious fanaticism, but a matter of faith and security. During this, he also referred to the decisions of foreign courts.
At the same time, during the hearing in the High Court on Monday, senior advocate Kamat had apprised the court that a government order held that wearing the hijab was not protected by Article 25.
But left it to the College Development Committee to decide whether should an exception be made for the hijab or not?
Kamat said that wearing the hijab is not protected by Article 25, and it is completely illegal to leave it to the college committee.
