YSR Congress may soon join NDA to give special status to Andhra Pradesh
The YSR Congress has said that it is ready to join the NDA to fulfill the promises made in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act and give special status to the state.
Senior leader of YSR Congress and Chief Whip in Vidhan Sabha G. Srikanth Reddy said on Monday that the talk of joining our NDA is a complete speculation.
We have said earlier that without giving special status to the state, we cannot even think about it. Srikanth’s remarks come at a time when Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has left for New Delhi to attend a meeting on the water issue.
He is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Due to the news of Jagan’s proposed meeting with Modi, the political temperature of the state is hot and there is a possibility that YSR Congress may join the NDA.
