Senior BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) leader and former minister Master Mohan Lal has claimed that Navjot Singh Sidhu will take a big decision soon and will return home. Said that the salvation of Sidhu will be in BJP only. Sidhu has no future in Congress. He is an honest leader and BJP is the right platform for him.

He claimed that Sidhu would soon take a big decision and join the BJP. He said that Sidhu will contest the 2022 election from BJP. Talking to the media said that he has always been a supporter of BJP to contest elections in Punjab alone. Sidhu is also insisting on this. Now the time has come for Sidhu to join the BJP.

Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was active again after a long gap, is once again in discussions. Sidhu joined Rahul Gandhi’s Moga Kheti Bachao rally after the efforts of state Congress in-charge Harish Rawat.

There he got an opportunity to give a speech, but he also besieged his own Punjab government along with speaking against agricultural laws. After this, Sidhu did not get a chance to speak from any platform. Sidhu did not later participate in Rahul’s tractor journey.

Sidhu’s political journey

The cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu stepped into politics in the year 2004. He contested and won on a BJP ticket, but soon after registering the victory, he was involved in the 1988 non-willful murder case.

This case opened again. In December 2006, he was sentenced to three years in prison in the case. Sidhu resigned from the Lok Sabha in January 2007 and reached the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court stayed his sentence.

In February 2007, Sidhu once again contested the Lok Sabha elections on a BJP ticket and won. After this, in 2009, Sidhu scored a hat-trick after winning.

In 2014, BJP did not give Sidhu a ticket in the Lok Sabha elections. Arun Jaitley contested in his place, but Jaitley lost the election to Captain Amarinder Singh. After this, Sidhu started getting angry with BJP.

Though the BJP sent Sidhu to the Rajya Sabha in April 2016, he was not happy. He finally resigned from the Rajya Sabha membership and quit the BJP in July 2016. After this, he formed his party Awaaz-e-Hind. However, he later joined the Congress.

After stopping the Congress, Sidhu contested the assembly elections on a Congress ticket and won by a big margin. He was made the local body minister in the Captain Amarinder Singh government, but his department was later reshuffled.

This angered Sidhu and he resigned as minister in the year 2019. After this, Sidhu became social media on every platform and then public forums were silenced everywhere. Meanwhile, Sidhu has again increased political activism.
