Judge Uttam Anand Murder Case: Court’s decision came on the day of the murder, both the accused were convicted, sentence to be pronounced on August 6.

The court has given its verdict in the Judge Uttam Anand murder case. The accused Lakhan Verma and Rahul Verma have been convicted by the court under sections 302 and 201.

On August 6, the court will sentence both of them. Special CBI Judge Rajinikanth Pathak has given this decision.

In the Dhanbad District Sessions Judge Uttam Anand murder case, the court delivered the verdict on the death anniversary of the judge.

The judge was killed after being hit by an auto on the morning of 28 July 2021. The verdict was pronounced by running a speedy trial of the case.

During the hearing in the court, the statement of 58 witnesses was recorded out of the total 169 witnesses recorded in the charge sheet by the CBI.

The CBI had claimed that the accused Lakhan Verma and Rahul Verma deliberately hit the judge, leading to his death.

Let us tell you that the death of Judge Uttam Anand took place on the morning of 28 July 2021. He had left home for a morning walk.

An auto pushed him from behind at Randhir Verma Chowk in Dhanbad at 5:8 pm. On being taken to the hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead.

Seeing the CCTV footage of the incident, it appeared that it was a murder. The judge was deliberately pushed. The Supreme Court and the Jharkhand High Court took suo motu cognizance of this incident.

On the recommendation of the Jharkhand government, the investigation of the case was handed over to the CBI.

First, the SIT set up by the Jharkhand government investigated the matter. After this, the investigation was handed over to the CBI on 4 August 2021.

On October 20, the CBI filed a charge sheet against both the accused accusing them of murder.

Apart from the murder, the CBI also registered two separate FIRs of auto theft and mobile theft. The same defense lawyer Kumar Vimlendu auto driver Lakhan kept calling Rahul Verma innocent.
