Joint structure of armies made to shorten the decision-making process- Air Force Chief VR Choudhary said.

Air Chief VR Choudhary on Monday said a joint framework should be created between the armed forces to make full use of the strength of each and shorten the decision-making process.

In his address to the officers at the National Defense College in New Delhi, Choudhary emphasized the need to make the Indian Air Force a syncretic aerospace power.

Joint structure of armies; The Chief of Air Staff, during his address, referred to the need for the integrated use of military power by harnessing the strength of each arm of the military to create a joint structure.

Talking about the indigenization program of weapons and systems, he stressed the importance of developing the multi-sector capability to deal with future conflicts.

This agency has been formed on the lines of National Investigation Agency (NIA) to investigate cases like terrorist violence, terror funding, treason, drug and arms smuggling.

SIA will also play the role of nodal agency in the investigation of all related cases including terrorist violence and sedition in the state.

SIA will be coordinating with NIA and other related security agencies and providing them all necessary support.

The head of the CID wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police will be the ex-officio director of the SIA.

He will be able to act in accordance with all his powers available in his jurisdiction and the powers granted by the government from time to time.
