India’s Operation Shield Begins: Pakistan on Alert

India’s Operation Shield Begins: Blackout, mock drills in J&K, Punjab, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Haryana to test emergency readiness. Mock drill today in states bordering Pakistan, Pakistan is scared of ‘Operation Shield’. Under Operation Shield, there will be a blackout at 8 pm along with a mock drill in the states bordering Pakistan on Saturday. As soon as the clock strikes eight, the electricity will be switched off and the siren will sound. This blackout will be for 15 minutes. The local administration has made preparations for this in these states.

Under Operation Shield, this mock drill will be done in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat as well and Haryana. Preparations have been made for this in the districts of Kashmir and Jammu division in Jammu and Kashmir. In the border areas where the mock drill will be done, it will be given on how to take people to a safe place and hospital in case of shelling.

All people are asked to be alert as soon as the siren sounds

All people have been advised to switch off inverter lights, solar lights, torches, mobile lights, and vehicle lights as soon as the siren sounds. It is advisable to keep curtains in front of all doors and windows, so that any kind of light does not escape.

The administration in Jammu and Kashmir has clarified that all emergency services, including hospitals, will remain fully operational during the mock drill. Let us tell you that earlier, the mock drill was to be held on 29 May, but it was postponed.

India’s Operation Shield Begins: Preparations to deal with drone attacks will be checked

On the other hand, preparations have been made for the mock drill in Haryana as well. Under Operation Shield, preparations to deal with air strikes and drone attacks will be checked across the state. Civil defense exercises will be conducted in all districts from 5 pm to 9 pm.

State Home Secretary Sumita Mishra, while sharing the action plan of the mock drill with the media on Friday, said that this civil defense exercise is being conducted on the instructions of the Union Home Ministry to enhance the emergency preparedness and response capabilities of the state.

This mock drill will involve 32 thousand volunteers

It will include 32 thousand volunteers from Civil Defence Wardens, registered volunteers, and youth organisations, including National Cadet Corps (NCC), National Service Scheme (NSS), Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), and Bharat Scouts and Guides, to assist in emergency scenarios.
