America has praised India’s G-20 presidency, calling it a great success. The USA said that during this period, reaching an agreement on India Middle East Europe Economic Corridor is a milestone.

This will be a new era of connectivity. After the rail and shipping network between Asia and Europe, economic development will gain momentum on both continents.

IMEC is being considered as an option for BRI.

Joint Declaration of Economic Corridor between India, West Asia, and Europe by mutual consent between the leaders of America, India, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, France, Germany, Italy, and the European Union on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit in New Delhi.

It is an ambitious plan. This new economic corridor is being considered an alternative to China’s controversial Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

EMEC is a big achievement: America.

US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said in a regular press conference on Monday that IMEC is a major achievement.

This will increase cooperation in energy and digital connectivity along with economic growth and economic development between the continents of Asia and Europe.

In response to a question, he said that the IMEC MoU will facilitate commerce, energy, and data between India and West Asia and Europe through shipping and rail transportation corridors between the US, India, Saudi Arabia, UAE, EU, and other G-20 partners. The flow will pick up speed.
