India COVID-19 News: The number of new cases decreased in the country, still more than one lakh active cases in Kerala.

After the recovery of 24,770 corona patients in the last 24 hours, the number of active cases in India has come down to 2,46,687, which is the lowest in 203 days.

According to an official release issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 18,833 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the last 24 hours.

A total of 3,31,75,656 people have been cured of corona so far with 24,770 new recoveries. At present, the recovery rate in the country is 97.94 percent, which is the highest since March 2020.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 57,68,03,867 samples were tested till October 5, including 14,09,825 samples tested yesterday.

At the same time, the number of active cases of infection in Kerala still remains more than one lakh and at present, there are 1,25,030 active cases.

Maharashtra has 36,744 and Tamil Nadu has 16,749 active cases.
