Ind vs Eng: It Will Be Very Difficult For England To Beat India

Ind vs Eng: It will be very difficult for England to beat India in their own home, former team coach revealed.

Former England coach and former Zimbabwe cricketer Andy Flower, who won a Test series in India in 2012, has admitted that defeating India in the upcoming 4-match series for the England team captained by Joe Root Will be difficult.

The 52-year-old Flower is strongly inspired by India’s 2–1 win over Australia. Apart from this, they also know how the Indian team’s stature in world cricket.

Ind vs Eng: Andy Flower said that Joe Root will have to do like former England captain Alastair Cook, which he did during the 2012 tour of India.

They “have to stand like a rock. Big innings can be built around them”. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Andy Flower said, “Trying to win by going to Australia is a different thing, but the four-match series in India is challenging in a very different way.”

He has said, “I think it will be harder for England now than it was for us. After that win (win at Gabba) in Australia, India will be more confident and they will be more concerned about their standing in world cricket.

Now there are more confident countries. The route should be the rock around which we can make big innings as if Cook were in our team. ” Flower was the team’s head coach on the 2012 tour.

Flower added, “After Root we again need guys like Jose Butler and Ben Stokes, who will move the innings with a more active game, as did Kevin Peterson in 2012. Where Root is at a certain pace.

Those playing, can extend it and really push the innings forward with pressure on the opposing spinners. ” In 2012, Cook scored 562 against India, and Pietersen scored 338, which England won 2–1.
