Ind VS Aus: 5 reasons Why Team India Suffered A Huge Defeat

Ind vs Aus: 5 reasons why Team India suffered a huge defeat.

The Indian team, which was struggling with the ongoing controversy over the selection of Rohit Sharma, was going to have a bad fate in Australia but nobody knew it would be so bad.

Captain Virat Kohli, who always hurt the team by playing the selection and final XI, came down against Australia in Sydney on Friday.

Ind vs Aus: India with just five bowlers, and taking advantage of this, the Australian team made a bang that went to 374 runs.

After so many runs, India’s defeat was almost fixed. It is good of Hardik Pandya (90) and Shikhar Dhawan (74) who converted the dreadful defeat into a respectable defeat.

The 66-run defeat in the first match has made India’s forward fight more difficult. India still has two ODIs, three T20s, and four Tests to play in Australia.

Limited bowling options

It is not that any big partnership in ODIs was formed for the first time in this match even before such partnership used to happen.

But then all-rounders like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Kedar Jadhav, and Hardik Pandya are sixth or seventh.

It used to break him as a bowler. Pandya was playing in the first ODI but it was already decided that he would not bowl because he is not fit for him yet.

In 50 overs India landed with just five bowlers which further strengthened Australia’s strategy.

Ind vs Aus: The pair of David Warner (69) and Aaron Finch (114), winning the toss and batting first.

Increased the partnership by comfortably playing two dangerous fast bowlers Muhammad Shami and Jaspreet Bumrah and targeting the third pacer Navdeep Saini.

He knew that once Shami and Bumrah were played without losing wickets, the remaining three bowlers could be easily targeted as India had no other option.

It is good that no bowler gets hurt or else Virat Kohli would have to come down to throw the remaining overs.

Virat has previously tested all-rounders like Krunal Pandya, Vijay Shankar and Shivam Dubey but failed to meet expectations.

Mayank Agarwal (22), Virat Kohli (21), Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer (02) cannot bowl in this team. Virat had given up bowling a long time ago.

IPL hangover in Australia

Unable to perform as expected in the IPL, Aaron Finch and Steve Smith (105) showed form after arriving in Australia .

Bumrah, Shami and Jadeja, who troubled them in the United Arab Emirates, were themselves shocked in Sydney.

Warner was also in form in IPL and he gave his team a good start here too. Super flop in the IPL, Glenn Maxwell (45) also played a quick innings with a low ball.

Bad fielding, how to win again

Apart from this, India’s fielding proved to be a scourge in leprosy. With the team dropping the catch, it was a poor fielding that left Indian bowlers morale-torn.

At the same time, Australia made a great fielding in their favorite ground. Dhawan left Smith’s catch when he was on 42 runs. Chahal left Finch’s catch at 104 runs.

Hardik-Dhawan showed hope

Chasing a mammoth target, Mayank and Dhawan got India off to a good start, but Josh Hazlewood’s bouncers bothered a lot.

First, Hazlewood broke May 53 partnership by sending Mayank to the pavilion and then got Virat’s biggest wicket on the bouncer itself.

In the same over, Shreyas bounced from the bat until the ball bounced off the batsman and went into the gloves of wicketkeeper Alex Carrie.

When KL Rahul (12) was out, India’s defeat began to be decided but Hardik showed courage and Dhawan standing at the other end also gained confidence.

Both shared a crucial 128-run partnership for the fifth wicket, but both batsmen mistook leg-spinner Adam Zampa as a mild victim.

First Jampa struck Dhawan’s wicket and after some time Hardik’s 76-ball beautiful innings with seven fours and four sixes also ended. Zampa took a total of four wickets.

Bad start in World Cup Super League

Like the recent World Test Championship, the ICC has also started the World Cup Super League where the top 13 countries have to play the series among themselves.

The team will get 10 points for every match won. Points started in the England vs Pakistan series. It was India’s first match in the Super League and lost 10 points.

England is in first place in the league by winning three out of six matches and losing three, while Australia remains in second place after winning three matches in four and losing one.
