Hyderabad Case: Police start interrogation of five minor accused, Owaisi’s party AIMIM MLA’s son is also among the accused.

The police on Saturday started questioning the five minor accused in the Hyderabad gang rape case.

Till now the police were interrogating only 18-year-old Saaduddin Malik, an adult accused. Among the accused is the son of Awaisi’s party AIMIM MLA.

The minors were brought from the juvenile home to Jubilee Hills police station.

The police had requested the officers to make arrangements for interrogation in the juvenile home premises itself, but it was not possible.

After this, the minors were brought to the police station. The five minors will be interrogated daily from 10 am to 5 pm. After five o’clock they will be handed over to the juvenile home.

Six accused including five minors were arrested in a gang rape case.

The Juvenile Justice Board had on Thursday accepted the police custody of three of the five minor accused. He could not be interrogated on Friday.

The board on Friday also accepted the police custody of the remaining two minors for five days. After this, the police decided to interrogate the five accused.

Meanwhile, the main accused Saduddin Malik was questioned by the police for the third consecutive day.

On May 28, six accused, including five minors, have been arrested in the gang-rape case of a minor.

The five accused were allegedly involved in the gang rape, while the sixth minor accused was not involved in the rape but had sexually assaulted the victim in the car.

National Commission for Women had expressed concern.

At the same time, in the past, the National Commission for Women had expressed concern about the increasing serious crimes against girls and women in Hyderabad one after the other.

Taking suo motu cognizance of the Jubilee Hills gang rape case, it was said that minors are being targeted. Along with this, the Telangana Police were asked to intervene directly in these matters.

It also sought a detailed report on the steps taken so far to ensure the safety of women in the state.
