Hong Kong becomes the sixth team in Asia Cup 2022, in Group A with India-Pakistan.

The Hong Kong team has qualified for the main matches of the Asia Cup 2022. Hong Kong beat UAE by 8 wickets last night.

Talking about the match against UAE, after losing the toss and batting first, UAE was all out for 147 runs in 19.3 overs.

For the UAE, captain CP Rizwan played the highest innings of 49 runs in 44 balls. He hit four fours.

Apart from the captain, Jawar Farid played an explosive inning of 41 runs in 27 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes. For Hong Kong, Ehsan Khan took four and Ayush Shukla took three wickets.

Thanks to Yasim Mortaza’s brilliant half-century innings, the Hong Kong team achieved the target of 148 runs in 19 overs for the loss of two wickets.

Mortaza played an innings of 58 runs in 43 balls with the help of seven fours and one six. He shared an 85-run partnership with team captain Nizakat Khan for the first wicket.

Captain Nizakat made 39 and star batsman Babar Hayat scored 38 runs. Junaid Siddiqui and Basil Hameed took one wicket each for UAE.

Hong Kong ranked first in Asia Cup Qualifiers points table.

The Hong Kong team defeated Kuwait, UAE, and Singapore in the qualifiers. The team secured the first position with 6 points.

At the same time, Kuwait finished second with two wins in three matches. The UAE team could win only one match. At the same time, the Singapore team got defeated in all three matches.
