Republic Day: History will be created on the path of duty, women contingents of all three armies will march for the first time under the leadership of Captain Sandhya.

For the first time, a contingent of tri-service women from the Army, Navy, and Air Force will march on the Kartavya path for the Republic Day parade. This team will be led by 26-year-old Captain Sandhya.

Speaking to the media after the practice session, Sandhya said that I felt fortunate to have had the opportunity to lead it.

Let us tell you that to prepare for this historic moment, the team of 148 members has been in Delhi since the beginning of December and before that, they practiced for two months at their respective places.

Despite differences in drills and procedures across the three services, the contingent trained together as a cohesive unit with a common goal.

Captain Sandhya, who participated in the Republic Day Parade in 2017 as an NCC cadet from the Delhi Directorate, said, ‘The aim is to showcase our best, emerging women power in every step we take.

Captain Sandhya will lead.

Captain Sandhya said that the women soldiers coming from the Navy and Air Force found it a bit challenging in the beginning as the practices and procedures are different in the three services.

Like regarding salami. In the Air Force, the hand salute is different compared to the Navy and Army. Similarly, the angle of the sword is also different.

For example, in the military, it should be at 45 degrees. Captain Sandhya said that we all have practiced well and are ready for the full dress rehearsal on January 23.

Captain Sandhya further said that women play an important role in the progress of the country and they have unlimited potential.

She said, ‘Women candidates were leading from the front in the paramilitary force.

But now since the government has started inducting women soldiers in the defense services also, I possess the chance to take part in this momentous day.

Women will march on the Kartavya path in the Republic Day Parade.

This is the first time that women soldiers have come together from the three defense services and will march on the duty path in this year’s Republic Day parade.

According to officials, the 75th Republic Day celebrations at the Royal Path of Duty on January 26 will be largely ‘women-centric’ with the central theme being India’s democracy and determination to become a developed nation.
