Intensifying his attack on Rahul Gandhi, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said that the Congress leader’s language is similar to that of Muhammad Ali Jinnah before 1947.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday slammed Telangana CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) for demanding his resignation for his remarks on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

He retorted and said that they are demanding removal from the post by getting agitated on me, but he did not get angry at the remarks made by Rahul on the army.

Sarma said that the mindset of the Gandhi family is at the top, else it will hamper the spirit of democracy.

He said that I believe that questioning the army whether they have done a surgical strike or not is the biggest crime.

Earlier, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday demanded Sarma’s resignation.

KCR said PM Narendra Modi and BJP chief Jagat Prakash Nadda should sack Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his remarks questioning Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s lineage.
