Intensifying his attack on Rahul Gandhi, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said that the Congress leader’s language is similar to that of Muhammad Ali Jinnah before 1947.
He is, in a way, the Jinnah of modern times. Jinnah’s spirit seems to have entered them. Sarma’s latest attack on Rahul came a day after he attacked Gandhi at an election rally in Uttarakhand.
Sarma on Thursday also attacked Gandhi over his tweet in which the Congress leader had described India as a union of states.

Earlier, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday demanded Sarma’s resignation.
KCR said PM Narendra Modi and BJP chief Jagat Prakash Nadda should sack Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his remarks questioning Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s lineage.
