High Drama After High Court Stay On Bail Of Accused: Narada Sting Operation Case. Drama run after High Court stay on bail, four arrested leaders sent to Presidency Jail late at night.

In the Narada sting scandal, two heavyweight Bengal ministers, a legislator and a former minister were arrested on Monday morning after the CBI arrested political uproar and protests throughout the day.

Following this, the Calcutta High Court stayed the order granting bail to the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders in the Narada Sting case on Monday night.

Earlier, these four leaders got bail in the evening from the lower court. Against this, the CBI reached the High Court in the night.

After the hearing, at around 10:30 pm, a bench headed by the Chief Justice of the High Court stayed the bail of these four leaders and directed them to be sent to jail custody for three days.

After this dramatic development, the drama continued in Kolkata throughout the night.

As soon as the Trinamool activists came to know about the High Court ban on bail, they again gathered outside the CBI office at Nizam Palace and started protesting and shouting slogans.

Meanwhile, under tight security, arrested at around 1:30 pm The four leaders were shifted from the CBI office to the Presidency Jail. A large number of Trinamool workers had gathered outside the Presidency Jail.

In view of this, the police had already barricaded a large number of soldiers and deployed them to safety.

In this way, two state ministers Subrata Mukherjee and Firhad Hakim, MLA Madan Mitra and former minister Shobhan Chatterjee spent the first night in jail.

It is worth noting that the next hearing in the case will now be held in the High Court on Wednesday, 19 May. Till then, these four leaders will have to remain in jail.

The Central Investigation Agency moved the High Court before this and the agency said in the court that they are not able to function properly here and their investigation is being affected.

Earlier, TMC activists staged a massive protest against the CBI action across the state including Kolkata from Monday morning to throughout the day.

Thousands of TMC activists gathered outside the CBI office in Kolkata also pelted stones at central forces during the day. Also bottles were thrown at them.

After this, the security forces also lathi-charged to control the situation. At the same time, inside the CBI office, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also sat for a long time i.e. about six hours to protest against the arrest of her leaders.

Supporters of the Trinamool Congress waved flags here and raised slogans against the CBI and the BJP government at the Center.

At the same time, in view of the demonstration, a large number of CRPF personnel have been deployed outside the CBI office and barricades have been installed in the premises.

Significantly, in the dramatic development, CBI arrested former party leader Shobhan Chatterjee along with Trinamool Congress leaders Firhad Hakim.
