Police said that one person has been arrested in this regard and the estimated value of the confiscated drug in the international market is more than Rs 3 crore.

In another incident, a joint team of police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) seized 477 kg of ganja from a vehicle coming from Dimapur in neighboring Nagaland.

46 packets of ganja were found in the search.

The seizure was made on Friday in the Khakrajan area of ​​the Barpathar police station area in the Karbi Anglong district.

The vehicle had a sticker of ‘Army on Duty’, but when the police searched the vehicle on suspicion, 46 packets of ganja were found from it.

Two persons have been arrested in this connection. According to the police, the cost of the banned substance is around Rs 50 lakh.

Heroin also recovered from Nagaland’s Dimapur.

Police on Thursday evening seized 122.22 grams of heroin and about five thousand rupees from two motorcyclists from Dimapur in Nagaland, after which they were arrested.

The seizure was made at Dokmoka in Karbi Anglong district. The drug was kept hidden in a soap box.

The police have claimed that the value of the seized heroin in the international market is around Rs 80 lakh.
