The hearing in the Bombay High Court on the bail petition of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty has been postponed today. The court has been closed today due to waterlogging after the continuous heavy rains in Mumbai.

Rhea Chakraborty was produced before a special NCB court on Tuesday through video conferencing after completion of her 14-day judicial custody. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) court has extended his judicial custody till 6 October. Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said that the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court has declared a holiday for the High Court in view of the severe water logging situation in the city.

Rhea Chakraborty has moved the Bombay High Court for bail after a special NCB court on Tuesday extended the period of judicial custody. Today, Justice SV Kotwal was scheduled to hear this petition, but due to rain, all the cases will be heard tomorrow.

You should know that Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Shouvik are accused of selling drugs. Riya and Shouvik confessed in the NCB inquiry that they used to arrange drugs for Sushant. Riya and Shouvik’s interactions with several drug peddlers have also been revealed. The NCB has so far arrested a total of 19 people in this case.

In the Bollywood Drug Connection case, NCB is likely to call several faces of the film industry for questioning this week. They include actress Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Shraddha Kapoor, and fashion designer Simone Khambata. Around 19 people arrested so far and their names have appeared in some WhatsApp chats.
