Health Minister Harsh Vardhan Updates About Corona Epidemic

Health Minister Harsh Vardhan told the state of the epidemic in the country, know how many districts are getting relief from the infection.

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Saturday informed about the situation related to Kovid-19 in the country at the 25th meeting of the Group of Ministers (GoM).

He expressed concern over the rising figures of infection but expressed satisfaction that the number of people recovering is also good.

He also told the districts where there has not been a single case of infection for the past few days.

The Health Minister said, “At present, our country has a testing capacity of 25 lakh a day and in the last 24 hours we have done a covid test of 18,08,344 people.”

He said, ‘Since the last seven days, no new case of Covid-19 has been revealed in 180 districts of the country. There have been no infections in the district for the last 14 days.

In the last 21 days, no new case of corona infection has come to light in 54 districts.

He further informed that more than 4 lakh cases are coming daily in the country for three consecutive days and in the last 24 hours, 4,01,078 cases came again.

However, it is satisfactory that 3,18,609 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. On Friday, the Health Minister held a virtual meeting with his American counterpart Xavier Becerra.

During this, he discussed the situation worsening the epidemic in the country. US Health Minister Becerra assured India of help in the hour of crisis.

America called back its diplomats and citizens from Nepal, decided to check the pace of infection.

On Friday, the US decided to call back its diplomats and their families living in the US Embassy of Nepal and said that the government will bear the expenses of this visit.

The US Home Ministry has taken this decision in the wake of growing epidemic cases.

The Ministry of Home Affairs also advised that Americans who are planning to go there should reconsider it and those who are staying there if they want to return contact the embassy.

The Embassy will start operating charter flights due to a ban on regularly operated flights.
