Government strict on love jihad and mass conversion in Uttar Pradesh, will be sentenced to ten years.
In view of the increasing cases of forced conversions in Uttar Pradesh for the last three-four months, the Yogi Adityanath government has drafted a stringent law along with stringent punishments to the accused.
Government strict on love jihad, there is a preparation to provide a punishment of up to five years and in the case of mass conversions up to 10 years. This offense will be nonbailable.
The Home Department has prepared a report after studying the laws applicable to conversion in many states.
In the case of forced conversions in the state, the government is preparing to bring the Ordinance-2020, prohibiting conversion against the above law.

The Home Department has drafted an ordinance on love-jihad, which has been sent to the Justice Department.
CM Yogi Adityanath has approved the draft and will be presented to the cabinet soon.
Yogi Adityanath also said in the election meeting held in Malhani assembly constituency of Jaunpur on October 31 that the government will strictly stop love-jihad.
The Allahabad High Court has ruled that conversion to marriage is not necessary. For this, the government will soon enact effective laws. In this draft.
The Home Department has said that forcibly or any temptation to convert someone to religion or to convert from one religion to another through marriage, is classified as a crime.
In case of forced conversion or conversion of a minor girl and Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe woman for marriage, there will be more severe punishment.
Apart from this, action will also be taken against the concerned social organizations involved in mass conversion. The accused will also have the burden of giving evidence in cases of forced conversion.
That is, in cases of fraudulently, coercion, or conversion of someone for marriage, the accused has to prove that it did not happen.
This change will also have to be made before the prescribed authority for the conversion of religion.
Earlier, the Law Commission had submitted a proposal to the Government of UP Freedom of Religion Bill-2019 to enact a law for the prevention of forced conversions.
The Law Commission made its proposal in view of the specifics of the law applicable in other states. The Commission had also said that there is not enough law in the state for its prevention.
It was informed that at present the law is in force for the prevention of conversion in Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Uttarakhand.
There is a preparation to bring an ordinance in Madhya Pradesh too.
Some cases of love jihad, which became the reason
Priya and her daughter Kashish were brutally murdered by Shamshad on August 21 in Paratapur police station area of Meerut in Love Jihad.
Originally Priya, a resident of Nehru Nagar in Ghaziabad district, started living near her friend Chanchal in Modinagar (Ghaziabad) after her divorce from her husband.
At the same time, Shamshad changed the name and trapped Priya in the trap.
During the lockdown, Shamshad along with his wife Ayesha and brother-in-law Dilawar killed Priya and her daughter Kashish and buried them in the dead bedroom.
Baba tricked 13-year-old student in Kanpur by calling him Babu

Asif had become a prince in Badaun
Asif, who lives in Sheikhupur of Badaun, made his name known as Rajkumar and gained recognition from Neha living in Lotanpur locality.
When they had a love affair, they took Uttarakhand a year and a half ago. Got married there. After this, when brought home to Sheikhupur, Neha finds out that her real name is Asif, not Prince.
This led to opposition between the two. On the way on the night of 25 September, he shot and killed Neha. Pretended that Neha’s brothers shot. However, the inquiry was exposed. Asif is currently in jail.
Investigation of love jihad in Kanpur
In view of the growing cases of love jihad in the state, special investigation is being conducted in Kanpur on such cases.
The stringent instructions were also given by the Chief Minister when several cases of Love Jihad came to light in Kanpur.
After which a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed under the leadership of CO Vikas Pandey in Kanpur and started the investigation of Love Jihad.
The SIT had taken around 14 cases related to Love Jihad, in which 10 cases are being investigated in a special way.
There are many cases in which the girl is minor and fake IDs have also been used for marriage. Some special people or the role of an organization is also being investigated behind these incidents.
The SIT is preparing to submit its investigation report to the government soon.
At the same time, many such incidents also came to light in which first the woman was forced into the trap of love and forcibly converted and then brutalized.
