Government affidavit: Withdrawal of new agricultural laws is not appropriate, Supreme Court can hear its decision today.
Soon after the hearing on agricultural laws, the government has given an affidavit in the Supreme Court that the laws have not been brought in haste.
The agricultural laws are the result of discussions going on for two decades and their withdrawal is neither just nor acceptable.
In the affidavit given by the Secretary of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, it was said that the Central Government has done its best to remove every doubt in the minds of farmers.
These laws are getting support from all over the country.
No law to cancel the law
In the affidavit, the government has said that some farmers have put a condition for withdrawal of laws which is not acceptable.
The government says that there has been enough discussion to bring the laws. Farmers of the country are happy to get additional options beyond the existing ones. No rights have been taken away from them.
Petition against tractor rally also
Meanwhile, the central government has also filed a petition against the proposed tractor rally on behalf of the protesting farmers.
In the petition filed through Delhi Police, the Center said, “Security agencies have come to know that a small group of protesters are planning a tractor rally on Republic Day.
This plan is being made to influence the celebration of Republic Day. This will create a challenge to handle law and order.
There is no hindrance in organizing Republic Day
The government said that any interference in the event of Republic Day will not be against the law but also against the public interest.
This will put the country to shame. The petition has requested the court to ban any such rally.
Why is it so quick to stop the implementation of law
Senior counsel PS Narasimha and Harish Salve appeared on behalf of some intervening petitioners supporting the law. He asked the court to give some time to support the government.
The Attorney General also said why the court is in such a hurry to stop the implementation of the law.
Justice Bobde said that they should not be taught to be patient. They have given a lot of time to the government.
Permission to perform even after execution
The court told the lawyers of the farmers that after stopping the implementation of the law, you can continue the demonstration.
We do not want anyone to say that the performance was suppressed. The issue is where the demonstrations continue.
Farmers’ lawyer Dushyant Dave said that farmers want to go to Ramlila Maidan, why are they being stopped.
The court said that such a large number of people will come to Delhi. Who would take responsibility if something went wrong or violence happened.
Rally should not be allowed on 26 January
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that 26 January is a big day for the country. No rally should be allowed on that day. This will not be correct.
The court said that you file the application. The court will consider. On the other hand, Dave said that the farmers will not make any mistake on 26 January.

On Monday, a bench of Chief Justice SA Bobde, Justices AS Bopanna and V. Ramasubramaniam heard a long debate by the government and farmers’ lawyers on agricultural laws and the peasant movement and directly put the central government in the dock.
The court said, ‘We gave you a very long time but you could not find a solution. We are not commenting on the negotiations but the process that is going on is very disappointing.

We are not going to cancel the law but solve the problem
Attorney General KK Venugopal, appearing for the government, said that before the law, an expert committee was formed. Discussions were held with many people.
Earlier governments were also making efforts in this direction. The Chief Justice said that the argument that earlier governments had started it would not work.
The bench said, ‘We are not saying that you should cancel the law. We are not talking about the merit of law. But the purpose of the court is only that the problem is resolved.
Why not stop the implementation of the law
