Goa Election 2022: BJP released the first list of candidates, Manohar Parrikar’s son did not get a ticket.

The ruling BJP in Goa is trying its best to return to power. With only a few days left for the elections, the BJP has intensified its preparations.

Meanwhile, BJP has released the first list of names of its candidates. Devendra Fadnavis, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and in charge of Goa Assembly elections, has released the list of 34 candidates.

CM Pramod Sawant to contest from Sankelim.

State Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will contest from the Sankelim assembly seat. At the same time, Deputy CM Manohar Ajgaonkar will try his luck from Margao.

Manohar Parrikar’s son Utpal did not get a ticket.

BJP has not given ticket to former CM Manohar Parrikar’s son Utpal Parrikar. Utpal had sought a ticket from Panjim, but the party has reposed faith in the sitting MLA.

BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis told that Utpal Parrikar and his and our family are one. We had given him two options, but he declined the first option.

The second option is being discussed with Utpal. Hope he agrees.

Significantly, the assembly elections in Goa will be held in one phase on February 14 and the counting of votes will be done on March 10.

MLA Willard has resigned from both BJP and MLA posts. He has also announced to contest the election as an independent candidate.

After submitting his resignation to the speaker, Willard said, “I have resigned from both the BJP and the Legislature. I will contest from the Nuvem assembly seat as an independent candidate.

Won elections on Congress ticket

Let us inform that in the year 2017, Willard had reached the assembly after winning the election on Congress ticket. In the year 2019, he joined BJP along with other 9 MLAs.
