G7 Summit 2021: PM Modi gave the mantra of ‘One Earth, One Health’, said – the role of democratic countries in stopping the epidemic is important.
Addressing the meeting of the G-7, the summit meeting of the seven most developed democratic countries of the world, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the slogan One Earth – One Health.
In this summit, which has been going on for the last two days, measures to prevent the corona epidemic and collective measures to bring the global economy back on track are being discussed.
Prime Minister Modi, invited as a special guest, in his virtual address, has put forth the matter of having equal health facilities for every citizen of the world.
PM envisions equal health facilities for all citizens of the world.
During the Corona era, Prime Minister Modi pointed to the eradication of discrimination among all the countries of the world in the health sector, which was welcomed by some other global leaders.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel supported his slogan of One Earth-One Health.
Special arrangements were made for Prime Minister Modi’s address in the UK in the presence of the heads of governments of the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan.
In a closed-door meeting held only between global leaders, there was a TV screen in front of every leader including US President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, German Chancellor Merkel, whom Prime Minister Modi addressed live.
According to sources, Modi emphasized that there should be better coordination between democratic countries to avoid another epidemic like Corona in future.
Modi used the adjective of democratic and transparent society to keep this point, which is being taken out of special meaning in the diplomatic circle.
It should be noted that the role of China is being questioned regarding the origin of the virus which is being held responsible for the corona epidemic.
G7 Summit 2021: Some other countries of the G-7, including America, are important in raising the question.
In his speech, Prime Minister Modi also told about India’s fight with Corona. He said that India fought against the epidemic as a holistic society and the government, industry and civil society played an equal role in this.
India used open source digital tools that helped identify infected people, administer vaccines. Modi also proposed that India is ready to share this experience with other countries.
The Prime Minister also talked about giving full support from India to the campaign to create a health governance at the global level.
He also sought the help of G-7 countries in trying to get the medicines and vaccines related to the corona epidemic from patent in the World Trade Organization.
Sources said that in this meeting, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison in his address announced full support to this proposal brought by India and South Africa.
Modi also proposed that it is necessary not only for India, but for the whole world to continue the supply of raw materials required for the corona vaccine.
This proposal of India was also supported by other countries. Prime Minister Modi will also address a session of this meeting on Sunday. Sunday is very important for the meeting of the G-7 countries.
Keep in mind that earlier Prime Minister Modi had to go to Britain to attend this meeting, but due to the situation of Corona in the country, he postponed the trip.
