Fresh Covid Cases In Bengaluru Have Doubled In 10 Days
Fresh Covid cases in Bengaluru have doubled in 10 days: Hospital visits doubled in 10 days due to corona, and new guidelines were issued.
The number of corona patients admitted to the hospital is also increasing amid the surge in Covid cases in the country.
In Bengaluru, the number of people admitted to hospitals due to corona has doubled within the last 10 days.
On Monday, 72 people reached the hospital, out of which 10 were admitted to ICU. In view of the situation, the administration has made changes to the Corona Guidelines.
Now if 3 to 5 cases are found in an apartment, then it will be considered a small cluster and a rapid antigen test will be done for all the people living on that floor.
In a bulletin issued by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), it was told that 72 people reached the hospital in the city on Monday due to corona, while till June 16 their number was 31.
BBMP Special Commissioner (Health) Dr. KV Trilok Chandra told that out of these 72 patients, 10 were in ICU on Tuesday, 3 in the High Dependency Unit, and 59 in General Ward.
He says that most of the patients are those who already have diseases and they themselves have been admitted to the hospital as a precaution.
Dr. Trilok Chandra said that the number of patients going to the hospital is definitely increasing due to corona, but most of these patients do not have serious symptoms.
About 17 thousand tests are being done daily, out of which 600 to 700 tests are coming positive.
Most of them are asymptomatic. He also said that there is definitely an increase in corona cases, but the number of deaths has not increased in comparison to this. So there is no need to worry much.
Dr. Chandra told that last week 40 samples of corona patients were sent for genome sequencing. Tests revealed that they got BA.4 and BA.5 variants of Omicron.
Fresh Covid cases in Bengaluru: It is not only in Bangalore, BA.5 is being held responsible for the corona patients going to the hospital at this time all over the world.
According to the State Covid War Room report, there were 3161 active cases in Bengaluru between June 19 and 26. Of these, only 7 were such, who were treated for 7 consecutive days.
In view of the rising corona cases, new guidelines have been issued.
On the question of why so many cases are coming up in Bangalore, Dr. Chandra said that this trend has been going on since the first wave of Corona.
One reason for this may be that the number of passengers coming from the country and abroad is very high in the city.
He told that the companies operating in the city have been told to follow the Corona guidelines. Awareness campaigns are also being conducted for vaccination among the elderly and school children.
