Fourteen youths of Anantnag were going to become terrorists, police explained and handed them over to the family: Militancy in Kashmir.

About 14 youths going to Pakistan to join terrorist organizations from different areas of Anantnag have been handed over by the police to their families.

Before these youths crossed the border to reach Pakistan, the police came to know about this in time and caught these youths on the way.

Police sources said that counseling of these youths was going on for the past several days.

Now it has come to his mind that his death is certain on the path of terrorism, after death, there is no one left to take care of his family members.

The Anantnag Police itself has disclosed this. Police said that it is a big success for them. Never before had such a number of youths come out together to join terrorist organizations.

These boys, aged around 18 to 22 years, were in contact with overground workers or their active members of various local terrorist organizations.

They had been tricking them into following the path of jihad for the past several months.

Terrorists based in Pakistan also lured these youths through social media to join terrorist organizations, after which they were ready.

SSP Anantnag Imteyaz Hussain said that he came to know about this terrorist conspiracy in time and caught these youths before crossing the border.

Counseling was being done for the last several days. Today these have been handed over to the parents.

The SSP once again spoke to these children and their parents during the meeting organized at the District Police Office, Anantnag.

He advised the parents to be aware of the activities of their children. Make sure that their children do not get a chance to influence any kind of criminal activity.

The SSP told the parents that these youths are the biggest asset of the country not only in Kashmir but also in India. Their contribution should be in nation-building that against the nation.

He said that if again any terrorist organization or their allies try to mislead their children, then they should immediately inform the police about it.
