Former Punjab CM Beant Singh’s grandson said – if the agriculture law of is canceled, will not mind the Rajoana’s release.

Congress MP from Ludhiana Ravneet Singh Bittu and his cousin MLA Gurkeerat Singh Kotli have made a big statement about the release of Balwant Singh Rajoana.

Rajoana, convicted of the murder of former CM Beant Singh in Punjab. Bittu and Kotli say that their family has no objection to Rajoana’s release if the central government repeals all three agrarian reform laws.

Kotli also said that if Rajoana apologizes, he has no objection to his release. MLA Kotli said if Rajoana apologizes, there is no objection to the release.

Explain that Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal had urged the central government on Saturday to release Rajoana.

After this, while sharing a video on his Facebook page on Sunday, Bittu has said that his grandfather Beant Singh always spoke of farmer interests.

He preferred to protect the interests of farmers by ending terrorism in the state. Bittu said that if the Central Government withdraws all three agricultural laws.

The Kotli family is ready to give Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Supreme Court Chief Justice and CBI in writing to withdraw all the cases.

Bittu said that he is ready to do anything for Punjab, Punjabiyat, and Hindu and Sikh brotherhood. Simultaneously, Bittu alleged that SAD is a B team of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

An application has been filed in the Supreme Court for the release of Balwant Singh Rajoana and an appeal is made to hear the matter daily before January 26.

Earlier, on December 4, 2020, the Supreme Court had asked the Central Government when the proposal would be sent to the President regarding the death sentence of Balwant Singh Rajoana for the murder of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh.

Rajoana was sentenced to death by a Chandigarh court on July 27, 2007. Which was upheld by the Punjab and Haryana High Court on 12 October 2010.

After which Rajoana neither filed an appeal against this decision and filed a mercy petition before the President. Jagtar Singh Hawara was also sentenced to death in this case.

Gurmeet Singh, Lakhwinder Singh and Shamsher Singh were sentenced to life imprisonment.

Significantly, on August 31, 1995, 17 people, including the then Chief Minister of Punjab Beant Singh, were killed in an explosion outside the Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh.

Bittu lambasted Sukhbir

Bittu said that Sukhbir Badal is saying that Balwant Singh Rajoana should be released from jail as soon as possible.

But he (Bittu) wants to ask if your (Sukhbir) father, who was chief minister five times, would have been killed, would your son have gone to get his killers released or released.

On the other hand, MLA Kotli also said that SAD has always politicized every issue and never been a supporter of peace.
