On Friday, the MP of MP Jaunpur Dhananjay Singh, who was identified as a conspirator for the sensational murder of former block chief Ajit Singh, was surrendered in the MP-MLA court on Friday after the reward of Rs 25,000 was announced.
Apart from Lucknow, Hyderabad, UP STF teams were also looking for them in the home district of Jaunpur. Police from other districts were also raiding potential places.
Along with this, the process of attaching their movable and immovable property was also being started.
Dhananjay came to surrender with four people from two vehicles: Bahubali and former MP Dhananjay Singh arrived in MP, MLA court on Friday with two four-wheelers to surrender.
He got down from the vehicle near Vikas Bhavan and quietly entered the court along with his three companions. All the people were covered with skulls.
All of them reached directly outside the MP / MLA court in the court. Talked among themselves here and then Dhananjay Singh along with his advocate surrendered in court.
Two days ago, the Lucknow Police announced a reward of Rs 25,000 on Dhananjay Singh. Dhananjay Singh is charged in the Ajit Singh murder case.
He was absconding in this case, but in court, he did not surrender in this case, but in an old case of Jaunpur, his bailor withdrew his bail, on which the former MP surrendered in the court.
Dhananjay Singh himself presented his history sheet in the High Court: During its earlier lockdown, Dhananjay Singh was arrested in connection with the kidnapping of Abhinav Singhal, the project manager of Namami Gange project for extortion in the district.
Dhananjay Singh was released from jail on August 27 last year after the High Court granted conditional bail.
Dhananjay Singh has been made the main conspirator in the Ajit Singh murder case on the basis of statements and other evidence given during the remand of shooter Girdhari Vishwakarma alias Doctor, who was killed in a police encounter in Lucknow.
With the bail application, Dhananjay Singh himself presented his history sheet in the High Court. In the affidavit given in the High Court, Dhananjay cited that a total of 38 cases were registered against him.
Out of these, 24 have been acquitted from the court. He is discharged in a lawsuit. A final report has been filed in four cases. Three cases have been returned by the government.
He was also a two-time MLA from Dhananjay Singh Rari in 2002 and 2007 and MP in 2009 from BSP from Jaunpur.
