There is a flood situation in Telangana due to heavy rains. In view of this, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has appealed to the party workers in the state to provide all possible help.

Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “I stand with the brothers and sisters of Telangana.

I appeal to the Congress workers to extend all possible help in the relief and rescue operation.” Still, a heavy rain warning has been issued there so please take care and stay safe.

Many villages have been completely submerged in water due to the rain that has been pouring in for the past several days. NDRF team has been deployed to rescue people trapped in their homes due to floods.

Floods in Telangana: There is a red alert in Kumuram Bheem, Jagtial, Warangal, while an orange alert has been issued in nine districts of the state.

On Thursday, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had directed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to deploy NDRF teams at Nirmal Town.

The NDRF today rescued seven people trapped in an old age home due to floods in Sawel village of Nizamabad district.

In low-lying areas, the ground floors are completely submerged in water. In view of the rising water level, people are being evacuated from the affected areas to safer places.
