FIR on handler of Kashmir Fight WordPress Dotcom website operated from Pakistan. Taking cognizance of the objectionable article uploaded by some social workers and media personnel of Kashmir on the website Kashmir Fight WordPress.com, the police have registered a case against the website handler.
This website operated from Pakistan is believed to be associated with organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Hizbul Mujahideen, The Registration Front operating in Kashmir. In the Haval area of Srinagar, many provocations were written on this website about Advocate Babar Qadri who was murdered by terrorists.
In the year 2018, articles against journalist Shujaat Bukhari were also published on this website, after which he was killed a few days later. A few days ago, a list of media personnel along with some political and social workers of the state was published. When opposed, the terrorist organization TRF opted out of this list and the list was removed from the website.
According to the police spokesperson, the website is promoting terrorist and jihadist ideology. The material published on it damages the unity, integrity of the country. Police have registered an FIR against the website handler at the Kothibagh police station in Srinagar.
Last week itself, Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag had said that on the website, the released list of political-social activists and media personnel of Kashmir is a conspiracy to intimidate the people working for peace restoration in the state and to pursue the separatist agenda in Kashmir.
