Finance Minister Gave Confidence To Support The Industry

Finance Minister gave confidence to the support of the Center to the industry, asked to adopt the policy of weight and watch.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has assured government support to the Corona-affected industry. She has asked the industry to adopt a wait-and-watch policy to evaluate the situation.

She said that we should expect a positive change from the government’s measures to prevent the epidemic.

Sitharaman said that we want the industry to keep a close watch on these situations. Government and industry are together in the fight against this epidemic.

In a virtual meeting with industry body FICCI, Sitharaman said that a few more days before the assessment of this quarter, very carefully assess the circumstances.

She said that from the beginning of Corona, sectors like hospitality, aviation, tourism, and hotels have been facing great difficulties.

Therefore, the government has also included these sectors in the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme.

The Finance Minister told the industry that as soon as the medical demand for oxygen is met, the supply of oxygen to industrial units will start.

Earlier, the finance minister has also assured the industry not to put a nationwide lockdown.

On the other hand, the industry also gave confidence to the government during the Corona period. The industry requested the Finance Minister to take special care of MSMEs.

Finance Minister Gave Confidence To Support the Industry: The definition of goods required for e-commerce will be fixed.

The leading news agency has quoted sources as saying that the government will soon define essential and non-essential items supplied by e-commerce companies.

In a meeting with FICCI, the Finance Minister has given assurance of removing irregularities at the level of states in this regard.

She has spoken of putting this subject before the Group of Ministers. There is no comment from the Finance Ministry and FICCI on this.
