Festive Season, Traders Are Expecting A Lot

Festive season, traders are expecting a lot, sales will increase from garment to consumer goods, customers will get offers. After seeing a sharp decline in sales in the last five months, traders are expecting a lot from the festive season. Consumers, from consumer goods to apparel, phones, and car dealers, believe in increasing sales during the festival.

Traders believe that the unlock process has now been completed across the country, so the supply chain will also be completely normal by October. According to traders, till the end of the lockdown in March-end, till August, people kept the purchase of all other items except essential items on hold. So during the festive season, customers will go out for shopping.

According to the Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association (CEAMA), sales of consumer products could rise by double digits during the festive season. Such signs have been found during Onam in August. Because of Corona, people are considering the use of products more secure than domestic workers.

According to large retail stores selling consumer products, customers will not have to pay a higher price than in the previous year in the festive season. Although a 5% increase in import duty on TV panel panels will increase costs, companies can afford to keep this cost at their level, given Corona.

Sales of mobile phones will increase

Vivo India head of marketing strategy Nipuna Mariya said that there will definitely be an increase in sales during the festive season, but there is no increase in the price of mobile phones. From the end of September to the second week of October, many companies are going to bring new mobile phones in the market.

Garment vendors start sale

The garment vendors have started the sale and are selling summer dresses at 30-50 per cent less price. Cloth Manufacturing Association official Mohan Sadwani said that in March, garment vendors asked for summer clothes and then a lockdown took place. Garment sales have started from September and sales may pick up due to the festival in October.

Discount will be available on buying a car

According to car dealers, one can get special discount on the purchase of cars during Navratri. Dealers said that many companies are already offering several types to encourage affected sales due to Corona. During Navratri, additional discounts of up to 20-50 thousand can be found in the price.

Expect a huge increase in sales

Sales of e-commerce companies in the festive season are expected to increase by double as compared to last year’s festive season. According to the report by Redsier, this year the festive season is expected to generate $ 7 billion in online sales as compared to $ 3.8 billion in the festive season last year. Because of Corona, people are considering online shopping more safe than going out.
