Farmers Not Reaching Shahjahanpur Border: Farmers Protest

Farmers not reaching Shahjahanpur border despite support from Congress government: Farmers Protest.

Farmers Protest is not able to freeze in Rajasthan against agricultural laws. Despite the support of the Congress government of Rajasthan, farmers are unable to join the movement.

It is due to the support of the Congress government that Rajaram Meal, president of Rajasthan Jat Mahasabha, has been sitting on the Shahjahanpur border with his colleagues for the past several days, although the number of his colleagues is steadily decreasing.

Rajaram Meal is the elder brother of former Congress MLA Gangajal Meal and businessman Surjaram Meal, considered close to the government. Meel family’s son-in-law Amit Dhaka is posted in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.

Punjab cadre IAS officer Dhaka has come to Rajasthan on a three-year deputation. The role of Dhaka is important in political decisions in the government.

Rajaram is repeatedly sending messages to the Jat-dominated areas and urging people to reach the Shahjahanpur border, but the farmers did not reach them.

In Jat-dominated Nagaur, Bikaner, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and Bharatpur districts, the impact of the Kisan Andolan movement was not seen.

Although some farmers from Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh districts adjoining Punjab and Haryana had reached the Shahjahanpur border, now they have started returning.

The CPI (M) is engaged in fueling the peasant movement. However, farmers of the CPI-M influence in the Sikar district are unable to connect with the movement.

Worried about the lack of farmers in the movement, leaders associated with the movement are now going to districts to gather support.

Farmers not reaching Shahjahanpur border: Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait arrived in Alwar last week and now on the initiative of CPI (M) leader Amaram, he will reach Sikar on 23 February.

Former CPI (M) MLAs Amaram and Pemaram are roaming in Shekhawati areas of the state and are urging farmers to reach the Shahjahanpur border.

On the other hand, the President of the Pradesh Congress Committee Govind Singh Dotasara has handed over the dues to the party MLAs from the areas adjacent to Shahjahanpur and the district presidents of the advance organizations to reach the venue of the agitation daily.

Activists of the Alwar Youth Congress are regularly making their presence known on the Shahjahanpur border.

At the same time, Rampal Jat, the national president of Kisan Mahapanchayat, who reached the Shahjahanpur border against agricultural laws, has now separated from the movement.

The Jats disassociated themselves from the movement, saying that they do not want to politicize it.
