Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said everything will be clear by evening – After discussing the proposal of the government, the decision will be taken on the next step.

Demonstrated against agricultural laws for 13 days. Meanwhile, a meeting with the government has been postponed today.

The farmers will take a decision after discussing the proposal from the government about what to do next. The situation is expected to be cleared by this evening.

Indian Farmers Union spokesman and farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has given information about this. He says that farmers will discuss the government’s proposal today.

After discussion, it will be decided what to do next. The sixth round meeting has been canceled. Everything will be clean by four to five in the evening.

Earlier, he said that the meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday was positive.

However, he reiterated that farmers want the new agricultural laws to be withdrawn, while the government wants to amend. Tikait said about the meeting, ‘I would say that the meeting was positive.

The government has taken cognizance of our demands and will give us a draft, which we will discuss.

It is not yet decided when the next meeting with the government will take place. The protest will continue.

Leaders of farmer unions held a meeting on Tuesday with Amit Shah, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on agriculture laws.

After the meeting, All India Kisan Sabha general secretary Hannan Mollah told media persons that the sixth round meeting with the Center had been canceled.

This meeting was to take place today, they will get a proposal from the government, which they will discuss.

Meanwhile, a joint delegation of opposition parties will meet President Ram Nath Kovind this evening, CPI (M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said.

The delegation will include Rahul Gandhi, Sharad Pawar and others. Due to the Kovid-19 protocol, only 5 people are allowed to visit them.

Farmers protesting on the borders of Delhi since 26 November had called for a Bharat Bandh on Tuesday. It was supported by many political parties.

The government and farmer unions have held five rounds of talks so far.
