Expectations From Domestic Tourism; Efforts To Restore Confidence

Expectations from domestic tourism; efforts to restore confidence. Everyone is now having expectations from domestic tourism; Efforts are going on to restore confidence in tourists, many states made special arrangements. The road to foreign tourists is currently closed due to the Corona crisis around the world.

In such a situation, the tourism industry and all the government’s surroundings are dependent on domestic tourism. With this, both the tourism industry and the government have started efforts to restore confidence in tourists.

Under this, a campaign has been launched in collaboration with the states to create a favorable and safe environment for tourists. Its effect is beginning to be seen in many states including Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Goa, where tourists are getting started on weekends or holiday days at tourist destinations.

This tourist trend is currently encouraging the tourism industry.

However, most of these tourists are now in the vicinity, who are staying in hotels and avoiding eating in restaurants. The Ministry of Tourism is now working to end their fear.

Through an app called Saathi, hotels, and restaurants across the country are being verified on the basis of safety standards. The aim is to assure the tourists that the hotels and restaurants that get the certificate are completely safe from the danger of Covid.

It is believed that after this, tourists will plan for long distance tourism. With this, many states including Uttarakhand, Goa have also brought attractive packages to woo tourists.

Among them, ‘Work’ in Uttarakhand, Work from Home is the most discussed concept while staying in hotels. Along with this, subsidy is also being given for staying in hotels here.

In addition to this, the Ministry of Tourism has also started a campaign to train tourists especially associated with tourist guides and staff in hotels to take care of tourists.

However, organizations associated with the tourism industry believe that tourism will be able to recover only when the movement of foreign tourists is open. There is little hope for it at the moment. According to a report, more than 10 million foreign tourists visited India last year. They earned around Rs 2.10 lakh crore.

States will have to show uniformity

All states have to show uniformity for domestic tourism. Tour operators are unhappy with the restrictions in many states, even after the center ended the lockdown.

According to Pranab Sarkar, President of the Indian Association of Tour Operators, domestic tourism is fully expected, but for this, a policy should be implemented in all states.

Still, some states have closed their borders to tourists, or have restrictions. He said that Meghalaya has allowed only 300 tourists a month. In this way, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand have also imposed certain restrictions.
