Election Commission Responsible For The Second Wave Of Corona

Election Commission responsible for the second wave of Corona, officers should be booked for murder: Madras High Court.

The Madras High Court’s anger broke out against the Election Commission on Monday for allowing election rallies during the Corona epidemic.

Madras HC has blamed the Election Commission for the second wave of Corona in the country. The High Court has said that a murder case should be prosecuted against the Election Commission.

The first bench of Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee and Justice Senthilkumar Ramamurthy while hearing the petition of the state transport minister MR Vijayabhaskar said that the Election Commission is the most non-responsible institution in the country, which did nothing to ensure political parties follow the Covid protocol.

Your institution is solely responsible for the second wave of Corona. If a murder case is filed against the Election Commission officials, it will not be wrong.

We do not lack any way to exercise authority. You did not take steps against the political parties organizing the rallies despite the court saying.

When in the court, the Election Commission responded that the Corona Guidelines were followed on their behalf. The rules were followed on the day of voting.

The court was angry at this and asked if the Election Commission was on another planet while campaigning was taking place.

The court said that the issue of health is very important, but the matter of concern is that the court has to remind it. This time the situation has become such that one has to struggle to stay alive.

The High Court has warned the Election Commission that if the right plan is not prepared and implemented for May 2, it can stop the counting of votes.

It is worth noting that at present, assembly elections are going on in five states. Polling has been held in four states and voting is going on only in West Bengal. Counting of five states is to be held on May 2.
