The troubles of senior National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah may increase soon. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued summons to the National Conference leader today.

Abdullah has been asked to appear before the investigators at the Delhi headquarters on May 31. ED has summoned Abdullah for questioning in the money laundering case.

Case of financial irregularities in JKCA.

According to the information, this inquiry is being told in connection with a case of alleged financial irregularities in the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), which is being probed by the ED.

Farooq has been summoned under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to appear at the headquarters here on May 31.

Property worth 11.86 crores has been attached.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had attached assets worth Rs 11.86 crore of Abdullah in this case in 2020. The 84-year-old NC leader has been questioned several times by the ED in this case.

The ED had alleged that Abdullah “misused” his position as president of JKCA in the past and made appointments in the sports body so that BCCI-sponsored funds could be misappropriated.

ACB Raids In Kashmir: ACB raids at Hamhama residence of former Srinagar Municipal Corporation commissioner.

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) raids are on at the residence of former Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) commissioner Shaukat Ahmed.

According to the information received so far, these raids have been done in connection with the alleged creation of posts and illegal promotions in the corporation.

However, ACB officials said that detailed information will be given only after the process of investigation is completed.

According to the information received from the police, the team of the Anti-Corruption Bureau reached the house of former Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shaukat Ahmed in Second Sector Hamhama near Srinagar Railway Bridge (Airport Avenue Link) today.

The officers involved in the team have banned the movement of people in the house till the completion of the investigation process.

According to information received from official sources, this raid is being done in connection with the corruption case registered against the former commissioner.
