Enforcement Directorate (ED) continues raids in illegal sand mining cases.

On the second day of raids on Wednesday, Rs 3.9 crore was recovered from the residential premises of Bhupinder Singh Honey, nephew of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi in Ludhiana.

So far a total of Rs 7.9 crore has been received from Honey. On Tuesday also Rs 4 crore was seized from his residential premises in Ludhiana.

On Wednesday, the ED also recovered Rs 80 lakh from Pathankot and some other places. So far, Rs 10.7 crore has been recovered in the action.

Out of this, Rs 2 crore was received from Ludhiana resident Sandeep Sood, close to Bhupinder Honey.

Bhupinder Singh Honey was doing crores of transactions by creating fake companies.

The team has also found some documents, which have revealed that Bhupinder Singh Honey, nephew of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, had formed some fake companies and has links with the sand mining mafia.

In the case of illegal mining, the accused Kudratdeep was running two firms, in which Bhupinder Singh Honey was the joint director.

Transactions were done through these firms only. Till now ED has not shown any arrest in this case.

Kudratdeep, accused of illegal mining, was also a joint director in two firms.

Significantly, on March 7, 2018, the Punjab Police had registered a case of illegal sand mining against more than ten accused including Kudratdeep on the roads of Nawanshahr.

The ED had started the money laundering probe on the basis of this FIR. In this connection of Bhupinder Singh Honey, nephew of Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi was also revealed.

Then it was found in the investigation of the Mining Department that various machines were being excavated in this area.

Illegal mining was also being done in Malikpur, Burjtahal Das, Barsal, Lalewal, Mandla and Khosa.

Conspiracy to implicate me by linking the mining case with my nephew: Channi.

On the other hand, CM Channi gave a political color to the matter in a press conference in Chandigarh on Wednesday and said that I am being avenged for the incident of the Prime Minister’s visit to Punjab.

Kudratdeep Singh’s name is in the FIR registered in 2018. There was a conspiracy to implicate me by associating this case with my nephew.

My nephew Bhupinder Singh Honey was tortured a lot. Trying to link the link with me. For this, the court was kept open till six in the morning.

Channi said, the ED officials also told the nephew to ‘remember the matter of Punjab Pheri (PM visit)’. My nephew was lured so that he could take my name.

150 ED men were constantly keeping a watch on me and my family. All my family’s phones were being tapped.

All this happened when Bikram Singh filed a complaint against Majithia. Captain Amarinder Singh is also involved in this whole matter. This is the politics of revenge.

Captain’s tweet. ED does not report me

On the other hand, former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said on the allegations of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, ‘ED does not report to me.

Nor did I get the money which I got from your relative’s place. Stop blaming me for your family’s crimes. As I always say, the law takes its own course.’
