He also addressed and greeted the soldiers at the Longewala advance post on Saturday. Defense experts have praised him for this and said that this boosts the morale of the army.

Talking to a news agency, defense expert Satish Dua said that this is a very good move. Whenever senior or eminent persons visit the frontline, it boosts the morale of the army.

PM Modi has been celebrating his Diwali in advance for the last seven years. The lives of soldiers posted on the border are always at risk and they do not get a chance to come home on festivals.

Another defense expert, SP Sinha said that the Prime Minister’s move shows that he considers Indian Army soldiers as his family. Every year since 2014, he has been celebrating Diwali with soldiers.

This means that he considers the Indian Army as his family. He is like the father of this great family.

SP Sinha further said, ‘This step of the Prime Minister gives many messages. Like – PM Modi respects Indian Armed Forces. He also respects the sacrifices made by soldiers.

This increases the morale of Indian soldiers. It also sends a message to the enemies that the Prime Minister fully supports the army. The previous governments used the ‘Use and Throw’ policy.

Meanwhile, Major General (Retd) GD Bakshi has also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s move. This is a very welcome initiative. This is a good tradition he has started and he is doing this for the seventh year.

He goes to the soldiers and makes them realize that they are not alone and the whole country is with him. This increases the morale of the army considerably.

On Diwali, on the request of PM Modi, a lamp was lit in honor of the soldiers posted along the border by Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

Significantly, PM Modi had appealed to the countrymen to also light a lamp as a salute to the soldiers as words cannot express their gratitude for their indomitable courage.
