Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Praises Indian Army at Army Commander Conference | Acknowledges Border Security & Terrorism Efforts
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh virtually participated in the Army Commander Conference, lauding the Indian Army as the most trusted organization. He praised their efforts in border security, terrorism control, and assistance during emergencies, highlighting India’s preparedness for future conflicts.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh participated in the Army Commander Conference, said- the Army is the most trusted organization. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh participated in the Army Commander Conference virtually in Sukma, Bengal on Friday. He praised the Indian Army and called it the most trusted and inspiring organization in the country. He said that apart from protecting our borders and fighting terrorism, the Indian Army plays an important role in assisting with the civil administration in times of need.
Unable to go to Sikkim by helicopter due to bad weather, he praised the contribution of every soldier from the military location and honored those who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation. He said that the military leadership has done a great job in taking forward the vision of the country of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh: ‘I am participating in the conference of military commanders’
I have been participating in the conference of military commanders for more than five years and the entire country including the armed forces benefits from these high-level discussions. The efforts of the army in incorporating state-of-the-art technology are commendable.
On the current complex global situation, he said that hybrid warfare, including unconventional and heavy differences in military capabilities, will be an integral part of future conflicts. There is a need to think about these things while formulating strategy and to continuously learn from both current and historical events. There is full confidence in the army’s ability to deal with any contingency on the northern borders.
Great coordination between police and army in dealing with terrorism
Peaceful solution talks will continue at all levels. The Defense Minister said that despite challenging circumstances, the Border Roads Organization has made significant improvements in road communication on the western and northern borders and this progress should continue. The tremendous coordination between the police and the army in dealing with terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is excellent. Coordinated action in the valley has established stability and peace here and the recently concluded assembly elections are proof of this, for which the Indian Army deserves congratulations.

It has always been seen in the forward areas that the army is always ready with strength. The army’s contribution in enhancing national security through military diplomacy, and permanent relations with foreign armies is important. The performance of the Indian Army players in the Paris Olympic 2024 Games was excellent. During the conference, the military commanders had a comprehensive discussion on the current security scenarios, border situations, and the challenges faced by the current security mechanism. Issues related to organizational restructuring, logistics, administration, and human resource management were also considered.
The park is proof of the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers
Inauguration of Prerna Sthal The Defense Minister also inaugurated the Prerna Sthal in Bardang before the conference. This Prerna Sthal is a memorial garden honoring the 22 soldiers who lost their lives in the October 3–4, 2023, flood in the glacial lake. This park is proof of the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers during duty. During this, Governor Om Prakash Mathur, Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, State Cabinet Ministers, Senior Army Commanders, and Top Civil and Police Officers were present.
