Death threats to MP Navneet Rana, Delhi Police registered a case.
Navneet Rana, an independent MP from Amravati, has received death threats. Navneet has lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police.
Navneet Rana says that he has been threatened with death. He is getting many threatening calls.
On the complaint of Navneet, a case has been registered at North Avenue Police Station. Police is currently probing the matter.
Significantly, Navneet Rana and her husband Ravi Rana were arrested by the police on April 23.
They had announced to read Hanuman Chalisa outside Matoshree, the residence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Police had registered a case against both of them under several sections.
MP Rana, who became famous after the Hanuman Chalisa controversy, told the police that she was threatened over the phone.
Rana was recently arrested in connection with a call to read Hanuman Chalisa outside Shiv Sena headquarters ‘Matoshree’ in Mumbai. He was released on bail a few days back.
Rana’s personal assistant has complained to the Delhi Police about the threats made on his behalf over the phone.
It said that these phone calls were made on Rana’s personal mobile number on Tuesday evening.
According to Rana, the caller spoke to him in abusive language, abused him and threatened to kill him if he returned to Maharashtra.
Death threats to MP Navneet Rana: If you read Hanuman Chalisa then you will be killed.
The threatening also reportedly told Rana that if you read Hanuman Chalisa again, you would be killed. A complaint has been registered in the matter at the North Avenue Police Station in Delhi.
It also states that Rana is in panic after the threat. A senior officer of the police station said that the complaint of the MP has been received, legal action is being taken.
