Covid-19 cases in Karnataka: After three months in Karnataka, Corona caught pace, the positivity rate was 2.11 percent; Experts warn.

The cases of corona in the country are continuously increasing. Due to this many state governments of the country have again made strictness here.

Similar is the case with Karnataka also. The highest number of cases have been found here in the last three months.

After a gap of three months, 348 new cases of covid-19 have been reported within 24 hours. With this, the positivity rate in the state has increased to 2.11 percent.

Earlier on March 3, 382 cases were registered in the state. After a long gap, the cases in the state have crossed the mark of around 350.

Rising cases in Karnataka raised concern.

According to the information, a total of 16,474 tests were conducted till Tuesday evening.

Talking about the positivity in the state, the positivity which had come down to 0.23 percent in April and May has crossed the level of 2 percent, due to which the concerns of the state government have also increased.

Not only this but out of 348 new cases found in the state, 339 cases have been reported in Bengaluru alone. Only selected cases have been found in some districts.

The active cases in the state stood at 2,478. At the same time, 10.94 crore doses of Covid vaccination have been given in the state so far and 45,809 people were vaccinated on Tuesday.

However, amidst rising corona cases in the state, experts have allayed the fear of a fourth wave. Experts say that the public need not panic. The high rise in the number of cases is due to the tests.

In the last month, there were four deaths due to Covid and 95 percent of the infections were found in Bengaluru.

Data released by the state health department said that 18 persons were admitted to hospitals, out of which only four are being treated in ICU.

Barring Bengaluru, no district in the state has reported more than 10 cases in the last month.

Experts have said that no new variant has been found in the state and suggested the government ensure the wearing of masks by the public.

Cases increased after April and May.

The state conducted 7,000-8,000 tests in April and the new Covid cases were less than 100. The tests were increased to 16,000 in the last week of May and the new cases touched the 200 mark.

Health department sources said the number of tests would be increased between 20,000 and 30,000 in the coming days as per the guidelines of the central government.
