Corona explosion in Kerala, 31 thousand new cases in a day; Know from the expert – why the situation is deteriorating.

There is a bad situation in Kerala due to the Corona epidemic. For the first time in the last three months, more than 31 thousand (31,445) cases of corona have been registered in a single day.

The infection rate in the state has also increased to 19.03 percent. The number of cases registered on Wednesday is 7 thousand more than the cases registered on the previous day.

Earlier, 24,296 cases were reported in a day in Kerala.

At the same time, 46,164 new cases of coronavirus have been found in the entire country in 24 hours and 607 people have also died during this period.

According to the Health Department, 215 more people have died due to corona in 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 19,972.

As per the data, Ernakulam district has reported the maximum number of 4048 cases, followed by Thrissur 3865, Kozhikode 3680, Malappuram 3502, Palakkad 2562, Kollam 2479, Kottayam 2050.

Kannur 1930, Alappuzha 1874, 1700 cases have been found in Thiruvananthapuram, 1166 in Idukki, 1008 in Pathanamthitta, 962 in Wayanad, and 619 in Kasaragod.

According to the Health Department of Kerala, out of all the samples being tested in the state, every fifth person is found infected.

Earlier in July, restrictions were relaxed on the occasion of Bakrid, after which suddenly the new cases had crossed 20 thousand.

On the deteriorating situation in Kerala from Corona, Union Minister V Muraleedharan says that the situation in Kerala is serious.

The state, instead of using scientific methods to contain the spread, is trying to use the pandemic to serve political purposes.

I urge the state government to follow the ICMR guidelines. He said that Kerala’s home quarantine (plan) has failed miserably.

The BJP targeted the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government of the state over the increasing cases of Covid-19.

BJP alleged that the Left government of the state was trying to hide the cases through propaganda instead of mitigating the crisis.

Attacking Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, BJP leader and Union Minister V. Muraleedharan tweeted.

“The situation of Covid-19 in Kerala is extremely worrying and CM Vijayan has failed to protect the people of the state.”

Dr Jugal Kishore, Professor of Community Medicine at Safdarjung Medical College, says that Kerala had prepared tremendously during the first wave of the pandemic.

Because of this, there were fewer cases there. This remained the same in the second wave of the pandemic and was largely prevented in Kerala.

During this, Indians settled abroad returned to Kerala, due to which people got infected there. During this time the vaccination of people also decreased, due to which the infection also spread.

Dr Jugal believes that the pace of corona infection in Kerala will not slow down until the large population there is vaccinated. For this the speed of vaccination will have to be increased.
