Corona Epidemic Has Become Uncontrollable In Kerala

Corona epidemic has become uncontrollable in Kerala. The situation worsened in Kerala due to non-compliance with the Corona protocol, the central team submitted the report to the UHA.

The epidemic in Kerala has become uncontrollable due to non-compliance of the corona protocol.

A six-member team sent by the Center has given this information in the report submitted to the Union Health Ministry.

The team was led by the director of the National Center for Disease Control, Dr. SK Singh. The report has exposed the alleged Kerala model of Corona management.

The central team said – testing, tracking, and isolation are not being followed.

According to the report of the central team, neither contract tracing is being done in Kerala nor is there any system of monitoring the infected persons.

In the Malappuram district of Kerala, where the maximum number of corona cases are coming, on average, only 1.5 people are being tested for corona on an infected person.

Whereas, in the guidelines of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), at least 20 people who came in contact with an infected person have been asked to be identified and tested for corona.

In the absence of contract tracing, infected persons are spreading infection: Central team.

Obviously, in the absence of contract tracing, even an infected person with no symptoms or general symptoms is easily moving around and spreading the infection to other people.

The central team said – only those with serious symptoms should be investigated

The report also said that only those people who are showing severe symptoms are being tested for corona in Kerala.

That is, the state government is not making any effort to identify the infected with no symptoms or common symptoms.

As a result, there is a steady decline in the weekly figures of investigation and due to this the infection rate remains high.

It is worth noting that the infection rate in 10 districts of Kerala remains above 10 percent.

Testing not as per standards: Central team.

The team has said that negligence is also being done in the investigation in the state. The correct ratio of RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen Test is not being followed.

ICMR is advising to make a ratio of 70 percent RT-PCR and 30 percent rapid antigen test in continuous testing.

But in many districts of Kerala, RT-PCR is being done 20 percent and rapid antigen test 80 percent.

Don’t even try to keep people apart.

The Kerala government is not even trying to keep the infected people in government isolation centers.

Most of the infected are living in their homes and due to this, the entire family is getting infected.

Gross negligence was also found in creating a micro containment zone.

Describing the dire situation of Corona management in Kerala, the team has told in its report that negligence is also being seen in creating micro containment zones.

By creating buffer zones in the areas around the Containment Zone. No arrangement has been made for their testing of the Kerala model of corona management.
