A controversy erupted over a BJP agent stopping a woman wearing a hijab during the voting for the local body elections in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.

The BJP agent said that he is unable to recognize the woman because of the hijab. She demanded to remove the hijab, but the other side opposed it.

Later the presiding officers said that after verifying the identity of the woman, she was allowed to cast her vote and the BJP agent was sent out of the booth.

Kerala Assembly: Union Minister V Muraleedharan retaliated on the allegations of the opposition, said- Opposition is insulting the Governor.

The budget session of the Kerala Legislative Assembly began with a ruckus on Friday. Opposition parties created a ruckus against the Governor of Kerala during the budget session in the Legislative Assembly.

In the house, the opposition raised slogans of going back to the governor and called him an agent of the union.

However, Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan’s reaction to the uproar in the Kerala Assembly has come.

On the opposition disrupting the Governor’s speech in the Kerala Legislative Assembly, he said that the ruling party and opposition parties in Kerala are trying to defame the Governor.

“Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan should clarify whether it is with his permission, the LDF leader is trying to insult the governor,” he said.

Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan emphasized that the ruling party and the opposition in Kerala are alleging nexus between the BJP and the Governor.

Muraleedharan said Opposition leaders who criticize the Governor. But despite the corruption and arbitrariness in the state, they do not care to criticize the Kerala government.

Earlier on Saturday, the opposition had disrupted the governor’s speech in the state assembly.

Governor Arif Mohammad Khan had on Saturday questioned the excessive number of personal employees of ministers in the state.

He said that the ministers in the state have more than 20 private employees. Speaking to the media, Governor Khan said that, as a Union Cabinet Minister, he could have appointed only 11 personnel.

But here every minister has more than 20 members in the personnel staff. He said that this is a gross violation and misuse of people’s money.

Governor Arif Muhammad Khan criticized the policies of the central government and counted the achievements of the ruling Left government.

However, the opposition in the House raised slogans of going back to the Governor and called him an agent of the RSS.
