Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu Lied On Agriculture Laws

Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu lied on agriculture laws, withdrew his statement after Anurag Thakur’s intervention. There has been debate in both houses of Parliament regarding the new agricultural law.

All the leaders, from the ruling party to the opposition, are engaged in justifying the law, right and wrong, by giving their own arguments.

On Tuesday, Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur in the Lok Sabha termed the speech of Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu as false. Congress MPs were speaking in the Lok Sabha to abolish the mandis under the new agricultural law.

Congress MP Ravneet Bittu said in the House that these three agricultural laws are black laws. Bittu said that they would abolish the mandis and instead the government would create private mandis.

Minister of State for Finance Thakur quickly intervened on the speech of Congress MP Bittu and asked him where it was written in the agricultural laws that the mandis would be abolished. We want to understand under which section you are saying this.

In reply to Thakur, MP Bittu deferred the question and started talking about the growth rate. Failing his charge, the Congress MP also said that he retracts his statement and will not lie in Parliament.

Along with this, while speaking in Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Anurag Thakur also made a sharp attack on Congress.

Union Minister of State Anurag Thakur said that by claiming the Agriculture Market Committee, the party was misleading farmers for its political gains, saying that the mandis would be scrapped after the newly passed agricultural laws came into force.

Significantly, the farmers have been protesting at various borders of the capital since November 26 last year against the three newly enacted agricultural laws. There is a demand from the government of farmers to repeal these laws.
