Congress High Command Scared By Gulam Nabi Azad

Congress high command scared by Azad, excluded from the list of star campaigners in West Bengal assembly elections.

Ghulam Nabi Azad will not go to campaign in the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal.

The Congress High Command has excluded Ghulam Nabi Azad from his list of star campaigners, indicating that he is in a mood to marginalize him completely.

The son of Manish Tiwari and Bhupendra Hooda has been placed in the list of star campaigners to curb rebellion in G-23.

The stir has also intensified in the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress over the decision to command the top command.

It is noteworthy that Ghulam Nabi Azad is one of the prominent leaders of that G-23 faction of the Congress.

Who insisted on the decision of the election through nomination instead of office bearers, seeking organizational reforms to prevent the fall of Congress in the country.

Without naming the Gandhi family, these leaders have also questioned the leadership’s efficiency and demanded the election of the Congress President.

Efforts to marginalize Ghulam Nabi Azad and his close commenced.

In Jammu, on 28 February, along with Ghulam Nabi Azad, leaders like Bhupendra Hooda, Manish Tiwari, Raj Babbar, Kapil Sibal had challenged the supremacy of the Gandhi family at a conference.

This caused panic among senior Congress leaders. Since then, efforts have been started to marginalize Ghulam Nabi Azad and his near ones.

In order to keep the Congress united in Jammu and Kashmir, Rajni Patil, in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir affairs in the All India Congress Committee, also reached the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on a five-day visit.

Asif Qureshi, knowledgeable in political matters, said that if someone is to be made completely weak then first he is divided in his house. The Congress High Command has done the same.

Rajani Patil herself is meeting local Congress leaders and workers to weaken Ghulam Nabi Azad in Jammu and Kashmir. He gave a message to Azad’s close friends and said that anyone who wants to leave the organization can go.

Rajni Patil has not called any senior Congress leader or former MLA called Azad close to Azad in his meetings or he himself has stayed away from these meetings.

It is during Rajni Patil’s ongoing Jammu tour that the Congress high command releases a list of its star campaigners, including Ghulam Nabi Azad.

This cannot be called mere coincidence. Rajni Patil is returning to Delhi on Wednesday, the list of star campaigners could have been released on Wednesday as well.

If Azad was not prepared to be marginalized, his close associates would also have been invited to Rajni Patil’s meetings, Azad would also have been placed in the star campaigners’ ranks.

The Congress high command and its close aides are terrified.

Prof. Hari Om, an expert on Jammu and Kashmir affairs, said that this is the first time I have seen this kind of treatment with Azad in Congress.

It seems that the Congress high command and its close are afraid of Azad, they feel that if Azad is not controlled now, Azad will liberate the Congress from his clutches.

He has given the carrot of star campaigner to some G-23 leaders to surround Azad. The Congress has indicated in a way that Azad does not mean anything to him.

Ignoring Ghulam Nabi Azad, the Congress leadership is hurting the organization itself.

A senior J&K Congress leader and former MLA said that the Congress leadership is ignoring the organization by ignoring Ghulam Nabi Azad.

If influential national-level leaders are counted in Congress, Azad is seen in the front row. His image is clear from other leaders, he has his supporters in every state and every party.

If Azad Saheb had gone for campaigning in West Bengal, the Congress would have benefited. Congress should not ignore them.

The news of him being excluded from the list of star campaigners has created a stir since morning. Many leaders have also conveyed their opinion on the issue to Rajni Patil, in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir affairs.

Ghulam Nabi Azad is a pure Congressman.

Senior Congress leader Heera Lal Abrol said that Ghulam Nabi Azad is a pure Congressman, he thinks nothing but Congress. He has demanded reforms in Congress.

If they are pushed to the margins in Congress, then the message will be that democracy in Congress is over.

The Congress runs on the will of a few people and it will benefit parties like BJP. Their neglect would mean ending the Congress in Jammu and Kashmir as well.
