The Congress has decided to contest the District Development Council (DDC) elections in association with the National Conference.

Although there is no open alliance between the two parties at the state level openly, according to the phases of the elections, seats have almost been agreed upon.

Seats will be divided on the basis of consent only.

State Congress Committee Chief Spokesperson Ravindra Sharma and other senior leaders had a four-and-a-half-hour long meeting with Divisional Head of National Conference Devendra Rana and Ratan Lal Gupta.

After much brainstorming, it was decided that on the seat on which the basis of the two parties will be strong, that party will put up its candidate and the other will support.

In some seats, if there is equal competition, both will stand their candidates. The final decision remains.

After the meeting with the National Conference, the Congress also held its meeting, in which the names of the candidates were discussed.

Since Thursday is the last day of filing nomination papers for the first phase of elections, the list will be released in the morning.

Reliable sources say that the party has asked its candidates to be ready to fill the nomination papers.

Leaders who were not made candidates in the Assembly elections or who could not be candidates in the Block Development Development Election will be given a chance.

The state head of the Congress GA Mir has indicated this.
