Russia on Thursday expelled Bart Gorman, deputy head of the US embassy in Moscow, from the country. Russia has taken this step amid the tense situation with the US on the Ukraine issue.

Russian government spokesman Jason Rebhoj gave no reason behind the decision to expel the senior diplomat. Russia is angry with the US not responding to Russia’s security proposal.

In this resolution, there was a demand for Ukraine not to join NATO. It is believed that this is the main reason for Gorman’s expulsion.
