China-Taiwan Conflict: Chinese White Paper Raises Concerns

China-Taiwan Conflict: Chinese White Paper raises concerns of Taiwan, will use of military force to capture the country.

Even though China has ended its military exercises. But in the meantime, a white paper has been issued by the Communist Party of China on the issue of Taiwan.

This white paper states that Beijing will use force to reunite Taiwan with the mainland.

China has released the white paper at such a time. When recently China announced the end of a week-long military exercise near Taiwan.

China-Taiwan Conflict: China reiterates its claims against Taiwan.

China on Wednesday released a white paper titled ‘Questions on Taiwan and China’s Reunification in a New Era’. Which has reiterated its claims to the self-governing island with more than 22 million people.

The White Paper claimed that our ultimate goal is to ensure the prospects for peaceful reunification of China and to advance this process.

It also said that under the last resort, non-peaceful means would be the last option. However, China also threatened to promise not to abandon the use of force.

White papers have already been issued.

Even before this, white papers have been issued by China regarding the Taiwan issue.

Many claims were also made by China in the first white paper released in 1993 and the second white paper that came out in the year 2000.

Earlier white papers promised that the central government would not send military and administrative personnel to Taiwan. But the new white paper makes no such promise.

Tension rises after the US House Speaker’s visit.

China began military exercises after the visit of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan. However, a few days later, China ended its military exercises in the Taiwan Strait.

Also, when the exercise was over, a white paper was issued. Not only this, in the 2000 White Paper on the Taiwan issue, the CCP had promised that as long as any issue could be negotiated with Taiwan.

But it would accept China and promised that it would not sing the slogan of independence.

The Mainland Affairs Council condemns the white paper.’

The white paper shows that there is no need for China to talk about a “one-China” policy, as the CCP is now seeking a ‘One China’ from the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)-led by the Tsai Ing-wen government of Taiwan. ‘

The Chinese White Paper is a public threat to Tsai Ing-wen’s government.

At the same time, Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) has condemned the White Paper-2022, calling it full of wishful thinking and disregarding facts.

He said that China has further exposed Beijing’s arrogant thinking of attacking the Taiwan Strait and the peace of the entire region.
