China Emphasized On Increasing Military Cooperation With Pak

China emphasized on increasing military cooperation with Pakistan, Chinese Defense Minister meets Bajwa.

Defense Minister of China General Wei Fenghi has emphasized increasing military cooperation with Pakistan.

He said on Tuesday that military cooperation between the two countries should be of a higher level to meet the risks and challenges together.

On Monday, Wei met Pakistani Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa in Islamabad and signed an agreement to strengthen defense cooperation.

In a statement issued by Wei, the Chinese Defense Ministry did not say anything about the new agreement (MoU). Both countries rarely make defense agreements public.

China is a major defense supplier to Pakistan, providing combat aircraft to naval warships and other vital weapons.

Wei also met Pakistani President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Alvi described China as a good friend of Pakistan and said that there is a long history of traditional friendship and mutual trust between the two countries.

Explain that Pakistan strongly supports China’s view on South China Sea, Taiwan, Xinjiang, Tibet and other issues.

PLA Daily quoted Alvi as saying, “We hope that with the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), cooperation between the two countries in the defense sector will be further strengthened”.

At the same time, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the visit of the Chinese Defense Minister is very important in the era of a global epidemic, which shows that China strongly supports the government and army of Pakistan.

China said – positive signal from India

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said that the findings of the recent SCO meeting were considered to be implemented.

There was also talk of increasing cooperation in Covid-19, trade, investment, and cultural sectors.

Earlier this month, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the SCO summit. This virtual meeting was hosted by Russia.

Hua, referring to Monday’s meeting, said that a number of issues had been agreed. There are many positive signs. There was solidarity in the war against Covid-19. All agreed to uphold the spirit of SCO.
